Hey guys! How is it going? Everyone surviving the crazy weather the country has been having?

I have challenged myself to try to use ingredients I have in my pantry so I can clear it out. One of the things I always have in my pantry is tuna. It is one of those items that you can use a in variety of ways. My favorite being Tuna Salad.

It is still early in the year so this should qualify as healthy right? It is a salad after all!

Did you know tuna salad has been around for over a 100 years? There have been thousands of recipes written going all the way back to 1914 when some of those recipes were first published.

Tuna salad can be comparable to a chicken salad, tuna being the cheaper of the two. A lot of people actually choose tuna salad because of its high vitamin content. In 1960 it gained the status of a dieters dish because of this.

Tuna salad can be made in a variety of ways with many different ingredients. The two main ingredients in a tuna salad is of course the tuna and the mayo. With additions like pickles, celery, onion, cucumbers, diced tomatoes, even dried fruit like raisins or cranberries.

A tuna salad can be eaten on lettuce, on crackers and most commonly on bread! my secret ingredient is of course the soy sauce. The soy sauce gives it a delicate salty flavor.

If you are like me then you can eat Tuna salad on a bun with a side of chips for days! Its like my go to lazy person meal. I especially love it on homemade bread.

Have you tried any of my bread recipes yet? You must give it a try.
