Have you ever looked at those short videos on YouTube or Pinterest and though to yourself, how on earth did they make that?

Well that was me with this Chocolate Swirl Bread. It flashed across my screen at some point and I drooled over it thinking that was the best looking carbs I have seen in a minute! I thought how do they get the chocolate part on the inside? I know some of you are asking the same thing right?

Well I am here to show you how hekking easy it is to make!

Did you know that bread is one of the oldest man-made food? Bread is known to play an essential part in religious culture. There are literally hundreds of various types of breads worldwide. Breads can be baked, fried, steamed, cooked in huge under the ground ovens or on cast iron on the stove top.

Breads are typically used to sop up some sort of gravy or used as a vessel to hold delicious meats and veggies!

If you have been following my blog for a while now, you will come to know me as a lover if bread. I especially love a bread with a soft crust. Which is another thing about breads, there are many types of crusts on breads.

Baking bread is like a science project. You have to measure or weigh each ingredient. You cannot say oh I shall add a little bit of this of a wee bit of that. You also need to know when to add your salt so it does not kill your yeast. You yeast must also be fresh or your bread will not rise.

For this Chocolate Swirl Bread, I made the dough a little more softer because I am adding the cocoa powder to one half of my dough. So do not be discouraged if your dough is still soft and sticky.

I made this bread 4 times just trying to get the measurements accurate and I wanted to see how long it lasts before it starts to turn hard. This bread actually was still soft on the third day!

One tip, roll your chocolate dough out first, the your white dough. This way you can just set the chocolate dough on top of the white dough without having to move it around.

Don’t be intimidated by those swirls, once you roll it into a log shape…the swirls will be there when you cut into the bread. Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked bread.

I served this bread a an amazing Tuna Salad that I made. if you have not checked that out on my YouTube channel yet, then head on over there! Remember to give it some love and subscribe.
