Chinese meets Trini

Today I am taking you down memory lane growing up in Trinidad. This popular Chinese-style Chicken is a dish you can find all over Trinidad. With the many indentured laborers that came to Trinidad during the British rule also came the many diverse types of food.

On a Friday night you will smell the many little huts and shacks around frying up this delicasy to be served alongside Fried Rice, Chowmein and Chunky Veggies. The smell of it lets you know its the beginning of the weekend! I am not sure anyone even cooks on a Friday night anymore with so many of these little places shooting up everywhere.

It is so easy to make you will not believe it. And the Oyster Sauce that goes with it really brings this dish together!


I also made these Chicken Puffs over the weekend. Its a great dish for an appetizer.
