The Juiciest Meatballs this side of town!

by TastesSpicy

We have been having a heck of a heat wave here in MN. 90 plus every single day for the last 2 weeks. That means the less cooking I have to do on the inside, the cooler the house will stay.

This is definitely grilling season. The only downside is I got to be outside in the heat to grill. To solve this problem…I turn to my fryer. Not an air fryer, but my trusty oil fryer. Don’t you want that greasy, oil fried food sometimes? I sure do, although these meatballs are anything but greasy.

These Pork meatballs are juicy, full of flavor and it has a little bounce to it. I know what you are thinking. Who the heck wants a bounce to their meatballs? Just stay with me here. There is a process to the madness. These are not the quickest meatballs I will admit. But its those long kneading and resting that helps these meatballs to be as tasty and juicy as they are.

If you notice at the beginning of kneading the meat together, it is loose and wet. But after kneading and resting it starts to hold together. I used Hawaiian rolls with this because it gives it a nice subtle sweetness. The Italian sausage comes pre-seasoned and because of this it adds a unique flavor to the meatballs.

You almost get that sweet and savory taste all in one bite which is what we want with every meal right? I have never baked these before but I am almost sure it is okay to bake. I have always deep fried it as it creates that crust on the outside and it is so delicious to eat without any sauce in it.

In fact these make great meat balls sliders or sandwiches or even as an appetizer on its own. Heck throw on some baby rays sweet BBQ sauce and thats all you need.

If you do give these a try, shoot me a comment and let me know how it goes. A neat trick I learned along the way is to fry a tiny piece of the meat ahead of time just to test it to see if it is seasoned enough. Rather than the whole batch tasting like it has no salt. UGH

Check out the video below and be sure to give it a thumbs up…there is no thumbs down, there is only up you can go. Ha!
