The Story of Mr. Pouty Pants and Miss Tortoise

by TastesSpicy

Is that not a great title to a story? How about a Story!

Once upon a time…on a cold, winters day, Mr. Pouty Pants was laying on his couch in his cold, dark man cave, when he received a message from his good friend Miss Tortoise. Miss Tortoise wanted Mr. Pouty Pants to come out and play with her. Mr. Pouty Pants, however wanted to not be bothered while he was watching his very important football game and of course laying around being lazy.

Miss Tortoise, though would not take no for an answer, since she always plays with Mr. Pouty Pants whenever he wanted to. So of course Miss Tortoise thought it was only fair that Mr. Pouty Pants reciprocated when she wanted to play! After all is that not what best friends do?

Miss Tortoise continued to pester Mr. Pouty Pants to no avail. Mr. Pouty Pants eventually did what he did best, he Pouted! Yup he pushed out his lips, rolled back his eyes and sighed dramatically at Miss Tortoise and told her in no uncertain terms he was too busy laying around in his man cave!

Poor Miss Tortoise became so sad and her feelings was hurt by the way Mr. Pouty Pants spoke to her, so she tucked her head in and disappeared in to her shell to lick her broken heart.

Later that evening, Mr. Pouty Pants decided come out of his man cave to go to the local theater close to his home. Although Mr. Pouty Pants was a Pouty little man in his own way, he always came out to enjoy a good show at the theater and to support the local arts.

Back at Miss Tortoise little shell abode, unbeknownst to Mr. Pouty Pants, Miss Tortoise had decided to lift her spirits by also going to the same show, The Bodyguard. Feeling down and sad as she was, Miss Tortoise was in the mood for some soulful, love songs from the late great Whitney Houston. This was just the thing for Miss Tortoise and off she went.

As Mr. Pouty Pants took his seat in the theater, he looked over to see who that beautiful creature was sitting next to him and behold, it was his very own Miss Tortoise! Well Mr. Pouty Pants decided he was going to play hard to get, like the young people these days sometimes did. He ignored Miss Tortoise and gave her the cold shoulder until the curtain lifted to signal the beginning of the play.

Meanwhile Miss Tortoise, having dealt with Mr. Pouty Pants and his Pouts before, decided to play along and ignore him as well. After all she did come to see that sexy Frank Farmer and Mr. Pouty Pants was not going to spoil her show!

At the beginning of the show, out came the sad love songs to remind you of being in love and being alone as most of Whitney Houston’s songs can only do. There was one thing though that went awry with this particular show…it was terrible! All the while Miss Tortoise is sitting there thinking what a cheesy performance this is, Mr. Pouty Pants was thinking the very same thing!

Before long they were both laughing and the ice was broken and Mr. Pouty Pants was back to his normal Pouty self, laughing and talking to Miss Tortoise again, the earlier poutiness forgotten. At least that is what Mr. Pouty Pants thinks, as Miss Tortoise stills knows that he had not apologized for his Poutiness to her and she decided then and there that she was not going to share her delicious homemade Blueberry Muffins with him. The End!
