For the Love of Brioche!

by TastesSpicy

I took a wee bit of a break from MN cold winter and headed to Phoenix for a few days. Had the pleasure of staying in one of those older folks resorts…laid in the sun by the pool, drove a ka-chillion hours to the Grand Canyon and played some bean bags!

All in all it was a fun trip, word of wise, if you are going to the Grand Canyon, check the weather before hand and dress appropriately! While it was a warm 72 in Glendale, at 7000 feet elevation it was a chilly 43 degrees in the Canyon!

Now lets talk about American Airlines and their travel policies about checking in with a checked bag and how much time you have before their system will not allow you to get on said flight.

American Airlines has in their online policy that for domestic travel you must be checked in 45 minutes WITH a checked bag before their scheduled departure. If you are ONLY doing a carry on then you have until 20 minutes before departure to check in.

With that being said, AA did not hold true to their policy. I know I was at the airport at that Kiosk way before 45 minutes to check my luggage. Also keeping in mind that I had already checked in online the day before.

At the Kiosk the only way for me to get on my flight was to do my luggage as a carry on. While I could have done this and used my little muscles to lift my 35 pound bag into the overhead bin, my partner in adventure did not have a carry on bag.

What was our option? AA agents are NO help at all. They do not care about the customers at this airport. At the kiosk, our only option was to be bumped to another later flight, and on top of that, they charged a $75 fee! Yes! When we tried to as one of the customer service reps at the Kiosk…it was like she did not know her job! When we went to an agent at the desk, this was the only woman who tried to help and was still unable to do anything!

This did not only happen to us of course, there was a slew of other angry customers behind us being treated the same way. When we finally got past security and tried to speak to two of the agents that sits behind the customer service desk in Terminal 4, they were too busy having their own conversation to care one wit about anyone who got screwed by their airline!

I don’t know why they even have them their? They do NOTHING! Because we were placed on another flight, we were not assigned seats. We had to wait for yet more bitchy agents at the gate to do that. So the topping on the cake to this story is, while my partner was on this flight with a seat assigned, at the back of the plane, in the very last seat, holding up the toilets, I was placed on Standby! So I was not even guaranteed a seat on this flight which was extremely full!

After my partner had a few choice words with one of the Bitchy agents, I was also assigned a seat next to him, to help hold up the toilets! I will not be traveling with American Airlines in the future!

Now how about you give this Brioche Roll recipe a try today!
