And the Madness Begins…

by TastesSpicy

How are your guessing skills? Have you put it to use in March Madness and filled out a bracket or two? While I have never watched college basketball and I still have no interest in it I most certainly did put my guessing skills to use! I filled out not one but two brackets in two different groups! How about them basketballs!

I guessed my way through the entire thing! I am doing it just because I wanted to follow everyone else and jump on the bandwagon as they say. I know people say they don’t like gambling…I honestly don’t consider this gambling, at least not with my guessing skills. I am prepared to lose my $10!

I have been craving curry of any type lately, since I have not eaten it for the last 7 weeks while I was in my challenge, because for me I need something to soak up the sauce or gravy from the curry, like roti or rice and I was not eating either.

This Alloo Puri was inspired by my hunger for something curry. I did not have any ground split peas to fill my roti with so I filled it with mashed potato. Now to clarify, in Trinidad we call a potato, Alloo. When you go to the roti shop you ask for a Potato roti, that is a roti, wrapped around a curried potato filling.

If you ask for Alloo Roti that is roti that is stuffed with mashed potato and then cooked. Then you can use this Alloo Roti and fill that with Curry Potato. I know very confusing right, but that is a Trini for you! We aim to confuse, but it is delicious either way.
