If you follow my blog and my recipes, then you know there are very little desserts on here. I am simply not a sweet tooth person. But I do have a weak spot for carrot cake with a cream cheese frosting…so delicious. Or better yet red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting! Oh my goodness…
I have very little skills when it comes to baking, I am not gonna lie, I hate measuring! Measuring and I are no friends. Average and I on the other hand…well we are good pals.
I did venture out and made this really not typical Carrot cake with a Chocolate Drizzle! Now that was easy and who does not like chocolate? No fancy grating of the carrots and not a whole lot of measuring. I threw all the wet ingredients into the blender and then poured it over the dry ingredients.
My carrot cake came out perfect!
And of course you cannot have sweet without savory right? How about these quick homegrown fingerling potatoes, that I fried up with bacon! Talk about easy and quick when you are in a rush!
