Potato Hamburger Buns

by TastesSpicy

There is absolutely nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread! Well nothing better than bread baked at home!

I love making and experimenting with different types of breads. I am sure there is like hundreds of different types of breads out there. I wanted to give this Potato Bread a try because it has a little more texture to it than my normal dinner rolls that I make at Christmas time. And it did not disappoint. Do not salt your potatoes when you boiling it to make the mashed potato. Simply peel, chop and boil the potatoes until fork tender. Then mash it into a puree form.

I used bread flour for this recipe. I have not tried it with AP flour, but I am going to assume it will not be an issue. I also used everything bagel seasoning on the top of my buns because I had not sesame seeds on hand. It still had the same desired effect.

I served these buns as a chicken sandwich and it definitely held up the the chicken that was between it. I did two small resting periods with this particular recipe, but you can certainly skip one of them. The true test to any homemade bread is how well it does the next day! These beauties were still soft!
