Whether you are West Indian, straight Indian or Asian, Curry is curry wherever you go!
There are different types of curries, different ways of cooking it, but at the end of the day its Curry!
Simply put if I am cooking Curry Duck or Duck Curry, I would use a different spice level of curry. Its spicier and darker versus making Curried Shrimp, which is lighter. While I do love my American food, I miss my curries as this is what I was brought up eating. To me, it is an easy week night dinner meal.
Other cultures will cook the same curries, however, they may add coconut milk, or lemon grass to change the flavor of their dishes and make it unique to their culture. A lot of the curries are also different colors.
For this Curried Shrimp with Potato dish I used a mild curry powder, and added a pinch of turmeric to add a little color to my curry. But this is a very easy dish to make. It should not take more than 30 minutes to cook.
