Recipe
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
1 cans of chopped jalapenos
3 fresh jalapenos, chopped.
3 pounds of ground turkey meat (I used the thigh meat)
1 whole white onion, chopped
2 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoon ground coriander
2 teaspoon garlic salt
Juice of 1 lime
2 packets of hot and spicy Taco seasoning mix
1 can of red kidney beans (washed and drained)
1 can of black bean (washed and drained)
2 cups of light beer
Directions
Heat the oil in a large, heavy pot.
Add the cumin seeds and let it fry, until fragrant and it starts to sputter.
Add the onions and peppers. Fry until the onions becomes just softened. Add the ground turkey and start breaking it up in the pot.
Add the spices, cumin, garlic salt, coriander powder, chili powder and lime juice.
Mix well and let this cook for about 10 minutes.
Add in the taco seasoning and continue to allow it to cook for a few more minutes.
Add the beans and beer and let this simmer until all the liquid has cooked off.
Server with brown rice, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers.
