Recipe
3 cups AP flour
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups warm water (Approx.)
oil for cooking
Directions
To a bowl add flour, salt, and sugar. Add water a little at a time to combine.
Once the dough is soft, sticky and formed into a ball, cover with a damp paper towel and allow to rest for 20 minutes.
After the dough has rested, turn it out onto a floured surface and knead for 2-3 minutes until a smooth ball is formed.
Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Split the dough into two halves.
Working with 1 half at a time, roll it out into a 1/4 inch think rectangle or sorts.
Sprinkle with about a teaspoon of oil and spread it all over. Sprinkle on some flour and roll it into a log.
Cut the log into 4 pieces. Repeat with the other half of the dough.
You should have 8 total. Set aside.
Heat a frying pan or a tawa on the stove top on medium heat.
Roll out each piece of dough and cook on the tawa or pan. Once you flip it the first time, add some oil to the top and spread it all over.
Flip it again and do it on the other side.
Once the other side was browned a little, flip and allow the other side to brown as well.
Remove from the heat and place it in a cooler to keep warm until you have cooked all of them
Enjoy with your favorite curry!
