Recipe
4 whole chicken wings, nails clipped
1 shallot, finely diced
juice of 1 lime
2 tablespoon sesame oil
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1.2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon honey
4-6 shishito peppers
1 red fresno pepper, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
Directions
In a small bowl add the chopped shallots with the juice of the lime. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
Whisk together the in another bowl the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey and two tablespoons of the vegetable oil. Add in the shallots with the lime juice. Mix.
Season the wings with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder. Pour in 3/4 of the marinade and mix thoroughly.
Set aside the wings to marinate for two hours.
In a small bowl add the shishito peppers, with a pinch of salt and black pepper and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Heat the grill to 350 degrees.
Lightly char the peppers, set aside.
Grill your wings. Flip it every 2-3 minutes to prevent burning. Cook the wings for 15 minutes and remove from the heat.
Place the wings on your serving platter, add the grilled peppers and the sliced fresno peppers. Pour the remaining marinade over the wings. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
