Recipe
1 pound lobster meat, cut into 1-2 inch pieces
1 teaspoon lawry’s seasoning salt
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 cup vegetable oil
1 egg + 2 tablespoons of water
For the Breading
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Directions
Season the lobster meat with the lawry’s seasoning salt and lemon pepper. Mix and set aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
Combine the dry spices and flour to form the breading mix that is listed under For the breading.
In another bowl whisk together the egg and water.
Preheat your oil to 350 degrees.
First take a few pieces of the lobster meat and dip it into the flour mix. Gently shake off any excess flour.
Add those pieces to the egg wash for 5 seconds. Then add it back into the flour mix.
Using both hands toss the lobster pieces with your fingers gently.
Shake off the excess flour and add to the oil for frying. Repeat until all the lobster meat has been breaded.
Fry the lobster meat for 4 minutes. Or until it starts to turn brown.
Drain on a wire rack over a cookie sheet. NOT paper towels.
I served my deep fried lobster in a hotdog roll. It was incredibly delicious!
