Recipe
3 cups flour
1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
2 tablespoons cane syrup or honey
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup of nutella
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
5 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon granulated sugar for sprinkling on cookies.
Buttercream
1/2 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup of nutella
1 teaspoon mixed essence
1 tablespoon heavy cream
Directions
Mix everything for the Butter cream in a bowl until it is smooth. Refrigerate for an hour.
Add everything for the cookie dough to a wide bowl, and mix using a spoon. It would be crumbly.
Turn it out onto a floured surface and shape into a ball. Wrap with plastic and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
After the dough is chilled, dust the rolling pin with flour or some cocoa powder. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
If you have a cookie cutter then cut the cookies out in rectangles or circles or use a knife and try to get it as even as possible. Use a tooth pick to make 6 small dots on the top of each cookie.
Place it in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
As soon as you remove it from the oven, sprinkle on some white sugar on the top.
Remove from the oven and place it on a wire rack to cool completely.
After it is fully cooled, then you can add some of he cream to one side and place another cookie on top of it.
You must eat these with cold milk, a cold pepsi or hot tea!
