Shredded lettuce
fresh chopped jalapenos
1 tomatoe cubed
1 cup of shredded cheese of your
choice
1/2 of a red onion chopped finely
taco shells or tortillas
1 pound of ground turkey meat
1 can of chopped jalapenos
1 whole white onion
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
Juice of 1 lime
1 packet of hot and spicy Taco seasoning mix
1 can of red kidney beans
1/2 cup of water
Heat a large frying pan on the stove top on medium
heat.
Drain your jalapenos and chop your onions.
Add a teaspoon of oil to your frying pan.
Add the onions and jalapenos to the pan now. Let the onions
sweat and become translucent.
Add the cumin seeds to the oil and let this fry for about a
minute. It will start to smell fragrant and sputter.
Now add the ground turkey to the mixture in
the pan.
Add your dry spices: Chili powder,
ground cumin, ground coriander and
garlic salt.
Add the juice of 1 lime to the pot.
Start breaking up your meat to
incorporate your spices and getting
the meat to brown.
This is the brand I use. Of course you
can use any that is available to you.
Wash and drain your kidney beans
under cold running water.
After your meat has cooked a little add
the beans.
Add your taco seasoning and mix.
This will cook for about 15 minutes. When the
water has dried out turn off the stove. Notice I did
not use any salt or black pepper in this recipe.
That is because the Taco seasoning has salt and
some spiciness to it.
At this point I added 1/2 cup of water
so that the meat does not dry out and
it has time to cook fully.
You can use any shell to fill your taco
meat in. I love buying the small tortillas
and frying those in oil until it is slightly
crispy.
The reason mine look like whole wheat is
because I used a low card tortilla, that has
only 3 grams of carb. It tastes just as good as
the regular tortilla.
These are my fried shells!
I layer mine first with cheese, add my hot taco meat
on top of my cheese so it melts, then I top my meat
with lettuce, tomatoes, jalepenos, onions and a dash
of sour cream! It was yummy! I washed it all down
with a cold beer.

Now since it is Taco's I am making I must
have condiments to go with it. I use shredded
lettuce, chopped jalepeno, diced tomatoes,
and finely chopped red onions
SPICY TACOS
Turkey Tacos are one of my favorite week night dishes. And its even better as left overs. I have tried quite a few
versions of tacos, but none compares to this.

A friend of mine would make this and my family would come over and we would watch movies and pig out on
these yummy tacos! Its even better when someone else is doing the cooking and you are the one eating!
