Today I feature Grilled Chicken. I have eaten my fair share of grilled chicken, now
it kills me when I go to someone home and you get these tasteless chicken off the
grill. You can add so many spices to chicken and you won't go wrong. I dare you to
step outside your comfort zone and spice those chicken up!
It is a quick week night dish that you can pair with grilled asparagus. Actually thats
an idea! I shall have to feature grilled asparagus sometime soon!

Please leave a comment on your favourite type of grilled chicken!
Grilled Chicken Recipe
Recipe Index
1 package of drumsticks or any cut of chicken of your choice
5 cloves of garlic
1 knob of ginger (the more ginger and garlic you have the better the flavor)
6 Thai chili peppers (optional, adjust to your heat level)
1 bunch of cilantro
1 sprig of thyme
1 stalk of rosemary
1 stalk of oregano
1 tsp of ground clove
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 can of beer (for spraying your grilled chicken)
Clean up the chicken first by cutting any hanging skin or
pieces of fat.
Wash the chicken thoroughly with the lime juice. This helps
to reduce the taste of gaminess in any meat.
Rinse and pat dry with a paper towel.
Combine the fresh garlic, ginger, chili peppers, fresh garden
herbs and the cilantro using a food processor or blender. You
can use any grinding tool available to you of course.

I sometimes add a little drizzle of olive oil to help bind the paste
together, if you do not have this you can use a little water.
This is what your ground up herbs will look like ...It will
smell fresh and yummy!
You can store this mixture for up to two weeks in the
refrigerator. I use this on almost every meat dish.
Season the meat with the fresh herb mixture and add
salt, black pepper and the ground cloves.
Mix thoroughly coating all pieces of the chicken.
Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour or more. The
longer It marinates for...the yummier It will be!
I sprinkled a little paprika on top of mine to make it look
pretty!
Pre-heat your grill to medium high. I recommend using a
paper towel to oil your grill prior to grilling your meat to
avoid sticking.
Start placing your meat on your well heated grill making
sure to spread them evenly throughout the grill so that
they each cook evenly.
Oh if only you had smeller-net to smell how heavenly these
smell with the fresh herbs.
While on the grill I pour some beer in a cup or spray bottle and
I spray the chicken about every 10 minutes to avoid burning or
drying out.
Depending on the size of your drum sticks and the type of grill
you are using...it should take about 20-25 minutes to grill your
meat.
Enjoy your grilled chicken with a refreshing
beer!
