Spice Rub Mix
1 teaspoon beef bouillon
1 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoning salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
For the Chicken
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6-8 medium sized Drumsticks or Bone in skin on chicken thighs
juice of 1 lime
In a small bowl combine all of the ingredients for the spice rub.
Squeeze the juice of the lime over the chicken and rinse with water. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
Add all the chicken to a bowl and season with 2 tablespoons of the spice rub mix. The remaining spice can be stored for use later.
Add the vegetable oil to the chicken and rub everything in.
Place the chicken in a single layer on a wire rack over a cookie sheet and place in the fridge to air dry for 3-4 hours. Do not cover it.
Now you can deep fry these or you can bake then in the oven at 370 degrees for 30 minutes.
I placed mine in an air fryer on 380 for 25 minutes.
It was juicy and crispy!
