For this Butter flap we are going to use a basic white bread recipe.


Follow the directions for the basic bread recipe

After the dough has rested for 2 hours, break off small golf sized pieces.

Roll out using a rolling pin. Paste on some butter all over it on one side. Then fold into half, then fold again to form a square.

Place on a cookie sheet and allow to double in size, about an hour.

Preheat oven to 365 degrees.

Bake the butter flaps for 16 minutes. Until the tops are a light brown color.

Once you remove it from the oven, lightly baste the top with a dab of butter.

And then you can eat without burning your tongue!
